In August, South Korea's imported car sales hit a record high

South Korea's domestic statistics show that South Korean imports of car sales have hit a record high for three consecutive months.

The Korean Automobile Import Association (KAIDA) stated on the 3rd that in August, Korea's newly registered imported vehicles totaled 8,758 vehicles, an increase of 142.5% compared with the same period last year (3,612 vehicles). This is the third consecutive month that Korea has reached a record high.

From the perspective of car brands, BMW sold the most cars, reaching 2,139 units, followed by Mercedes-Benz (1524 units), Volkswagen (784 units), Audi (758 units), Toyota (606 units), and Honda (479 units). ), Mini (406 cars) and so on. The best-selling model was the BMW 528 (833), and the Mercedes-Benz E300 (578) and the Toyota Camry (394) ranked second and third respectively.

From January to August of this year, the cumulative sales volume of the World Bank's imported cars in South Korea reached 58.371 million units, an increase of 59.2% compared with the same period of last year (36.674 million vehicles).
