Cross-strait machinery manufacturing industry cooperation in-depth development
From October 12 to 13, 2010, the “2010 Cross-Strait Precision Machinery Industry Cooperation and Exchange Conference†sponsored by the China Machinery Industry Federation and the Taiwan Machinery Industry Association and organized by the Jiangsu Machinery Industry Federation was held in Nanjing, capital of the Six Dynasties. More than 300 experts from mainland China and more than 100 experts and owners from the scientific research institutes and manufacturing industries of the machinery industry in Taiwan attended the meeting.
Wang Ruixiang, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the China Machinery Industry Federation, pointed out at the meeting that the trade volume of cross-strait mechanical products was US$8.65 billion in the first seven months of this year, an increase of 71.2% over the same period of last year; the fields of industrial cooperation between the two sides continued to expand, from production. From scientific research, from host to spare parts, from basic research to technical cooperation, from industrial communication to product marketing, the scope of bilateral exchanges is wider, the path of cooperation is wider, and the relationship of cooperation is closer. Wang Ruixiang said that at present, there has been a new pattern of interaction between the two sides of the strait, the day-to-day interaction of the industry, the institutionalization of business exchanges, the negotiation and negotiation, and the institutionalization of trade exchanges, creating a brilliant vision for the in-depth cooperation between the two sides of the machinery industry.
In order to further deepen the cooperation between the two sides of the machinery industry, at the meeting, Wang Ruixiang, president of the China Machinery Industry Federation, and Xu Xiuye, director of the Taiwan Machinery Industry Association, signed a letter of intent for cooperation between the two sides of the machinery industry. At the same time, the two parties reached a consensus.
Wang Zhengqing, director general of the Taiwan Machinery Industry Association, said that the current global economic situation is hot and cold. In eastern Asia, China and India are particularly hot, and most parts of western Europe are still at a low temperature and cold period. During the post-crisis global financial crisis, the mainland machinery industry has always maintained a good state of development. The Taiwan region is clearly concerned that in 2009 the total output value of China's machinery industry exceeded a new level of 1.07 billion yuan, an increase of nearly 20% year-on-year. Among them, related main products such as machine tools and automobiles have become the world's largest producer and consumer. From January to August 2010, the volume of domestic production, sales, and foreign trade increased by more than 30% over the same period of last year. Among them, the growth rates of industrial basic industries such as automobiles, machine tools, internal combustion engines, and construction machinery are all approaching or even exceeding 40%. In particular, it is gratifying to note that Germany and Japan have topped the world in production scale over the past 10 years. In the 2009 financial turmoil, Germany’s reduction rate reached 30%, and Japan’s reached 40%. The two economic powers have fallen sharply. However, there has been steady progress and there has been a rise in Taiwan’s industry generally optimistic about the development of cooperation between the two sides of the machinery manufacturing industry.
Luo Baihui, head of the International Die & Metals and Plastics Industry Suppliers Association, said that China's economic development has benefited from the country's policy adjustments. In the past two years, China has initiated development strategies for industries such as automobiles, nuclear power, wind power, high-speed railways, rail transportation, ships, and large aircraft. This will promote the vigorous development of the machinery industry, led by machine tools, and will inevitably have a strong driving effect. According to the current trend, China's machine tool output will be the sum of Japan and Germany's two developed countries in 2010. This will undoubtedly allow China to establish a global economic status as a big country.
